Vice President, Human Resources will be responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation. Provides strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to the core leadership team.
Responsibilities:
Develop HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of the overall global business operations objectives.
Function as a strategic business advisor to the executive/senior management of each business unit or specialty group regarding key organizational and management issues.
Develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits plans that are competitive and cost-effective.
Drive HR initiatives that promote a positive organizational culture and employee engagement across diverse cultures and geographies.
Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of strategic goals.
Oversee global recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding diverse talent for the HR Team.
Develop and implement a consistent global talent management and succession planning strategy.
Collaborate with regional HR teams to ensure effective talent retention, development, and career progression.
Manage internal communications with global HR team members and employees.
Drive performance management system and improve employee performance globally.
Provide guidance to managers on performance feedback, coaching, and development planning.
Analyze performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Ensure adherence to systems and processes across the globe.
Provide guidance and support to regional HR teams on handling complex employee relations issues.
Establish and communicate global HR policies and practices to ensure consistency and adherence.
Address and resolve employee concerns and grievances in a fair and timely manner.
Manage team to run the various engagement initiatives.
Develop a comprehensive global learning and development framework to enhance employee skills and competencies.
Foster a culture of continuous learning by promoting training opportunities and career development pathways.
Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to create an inclusive and culturally sensitive work environment.
Monitor and assess diversity metrics and recommend actions for improvement.
Ensure global HR practices comply with relevant labor laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Collaborate with legal agencies/attorneys to mitigate HR-related risks.
Ensure regional HR compliances are adhered to (like PoSH, Annual labor returns, Respectful workplaces, etc.).
Establish key HR performance metrics and analyze data to identify trends and insights.
Provide regular reports and recommendations to senior leadership based on HR analytics.
Mandatory experience / skills:
Masters degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 15+ years of progressive experience in the HR role, with at least 5 years of executive HR experience and at least five years of international HR experience (USA, UK and Canada preferred).
Strong understanding of global employment laws, regulations, and cultural differences.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Proven experience in developing and implementing global HR strategies and initiatives.
Ability to navigate complex and sensitive employee relations matters.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and similar tools.
HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
Fluent proficiency in English (written and spoken).
