We are seeking a skilled Front-End Developer with expertise in WordPress to design and build custom templates tailored to the needs of various home service industries. You will collaborate with our UX Experts to implement user-centered strategies, ensuring that each WordPress template is optimized for performance, engagement, and conversions.

Key Responsibilities

• Custom WordPress Template Development: Design and develop responsive WordPress templates for home service industries such as landscaping, plumbing, and HVAC.
• UX Strategy Implementation: Work closely with UX Experts to integrate industry-specific design and functionality based on user needs and behaviors.
• Theme Customization: Customize themes and templates using WordPress tools and frameworks, ensuring they reflect the branding and functionality requirements of each industry.
• Plugin Integration: Select, configure, and, if necessary, develop WordPress plugins to enhance the functionality of the templates.
• Responsive Design: Ensure all templates are mobile-friendly and optimized for different devices and browsers.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize templates for speed, SEO, and user experience, leveraging tools like caching plugins and lazy loading.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing to ensure templates are bug-free, fully responsive, and meet performance benchmarks.
• Documentation and Support: Create detailed documentation for templates, including installation and customization guides.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years of experience in WordPress development, including theme and plugin customization.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like Bootstrap.
• WordPress Tools: Familiarity with WordPress builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg.
• Design Skills: Experience using design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch to translate designs into functional templates.
• SEO Knowledge: Understanding of SEO best practices as they apply to WordPress development.
• Version Control: Experience using Git for version control.
• Attention to Detail: Strong eye for design consistency, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry Knowledge: Experience developing templates for home service industries is a plus.
• Advanced Custom Fields (ACF): Proficiency in creating custom fields and dynamic content in WordPress.
