Job Summary:We are looking for an experienced IT Operations Manager with a strong background in the retail industry to lead and manage our IT operations. The role involves overseeing daily IT infrastructure, ensuring the seamless operation of systems and networks, and supporting retail technology needs. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of retail technology systems, IT service management, and a proven ability to align IT operations with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the IT operations across all retail locations, ensuring systems, networks, and applications are functioning efficiently.
- Ensure the availability, performance, and security of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, POS systems, and retail applications.
- Lead a team of IT support staff, ensuring timely resolution of IT issues and providing guidance on best practices.
- Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Manage IT vendors and service providers, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Collaborate with retail and business units to understand operational needs and provide IT solutions that enhance productivity and customer experience.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Oversee the management of data security, ensuring compliance with industry standards (such as PCI-DSS).
- Ensure compliance with company policies, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in budgeting and financial management for IT operations, including cost control and vendor management.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Stay current with emerging retail technologies and trends to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 3 years in a retail environment.
- Strong understanding of retail systems, including POS systems, ERP, CRM, inventory management, and e-commerce platforms.
- Experience with IT service management (ITSM) tools and practices.
- Proven experience in network management, server administration, and IT security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Familiarity with cloud services, virtualization, and retail IT architecture.
- Understanding of compliance standards, such as PCI-DSS, and data protection regulations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- ITIL certification or similar IT management certifications is a plus.
