Linux Administrator

Role Overview:

We seek a talented and experienced Cloud Engineer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate should have strong proficiency in Linux systems, particularly RedHat/CentOS, Ubuntu, and OpenSUSE, and a proven ability to design, implement, and maintain cloud-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cloud Infrastructure Design & Deployment:
• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud environments across GCP, AWS, and Azure.
• Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent tools.
2. System Administration & Optimization:
• Administer and optimize Linux environments, including RedHat/CentOS, Ubuntu, and OpenSUSE.
• Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
3. Security & Compliance:
• Implement security best practices for cloud and Linux systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.
4. DevOps Collaboration:
• Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines and streamline application deployments.
• Manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
5. Backup & Disaster Recovery:
• Develop and manage backup, recovery, and failover strategies for cloud-hosted systems.
6. Technical Support & Documentation:
• Provide advanced technical support for cloud and Linux systems.
• Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

1. Cloud Expertise:
• Hands-on experience with GCP, AWS, and Azure services, including computing, Storage, Networking, and Security.
• Strong understanding of multi-cloud architecture and tools.
2. Linux Proficiency:
• In-depth knowledge of RedHat/CentOS, Ubuntu, and OpenSUSE administration.
• Experience with shell scripting and automation in Linux environments.
3. Automation & Scripting:
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
4. Networking & Security:
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, VPNs, load balancers) and cloud security frameworks.
5. DevOps & Containers:
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
6. Problem Solving & Communication:
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect).
• Experience with hybrid cloud solutions or migration projects.

Knowledge of database management systems (SQL/NoSQL) in a cloud environment
