Job Description
- Develop and maintain web applications, along with their backend infrastructure, specifically in Python.
- Participate in the full development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment within Microsoft Azure.
- Collaborate with other developers to design, develop, and deploy high-quality web-based solutions.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps CI/CD deployment.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise.
- Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in web development.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Web development experience, especially with HTML5 and modern web frameworks, CSS and JavaScript
- Python web technologies, including Django, Bootstrap
- Awareness of how to create well-designed & responsive web applications that offer the highest level of user experience.
- Awareness of how to select and implement the appropriate technologies to deliver resilient, scalable and future-proofed solutions.
- Ability to review requirements, specifications and define test conditions.
- Strong understanding of programming concepts and web development principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
It is also desirable but not essential to have experience with:
- Microsoft Azure or other cloud infrastructure environments (GCP / AWS)
- Azure DevOps
- Agile management approaches
- Common JavaScript frameworks, including Bootstrap, Angular, React, etc.
- Visualisation frameworks, including Leaflet and Plotly
- Database technologies, including PostgreSQL and SQL Server
- Qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
