About the Team :

The Data team is a dynamic group of Data Engineers and Report Developers responsible for delivering and maintaining critical data solutions for various data initiatives.

Our work spans the entire data lifecycle, from building data pipelines on the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) to developing insightful PowerBI reports, gathering business requirements, and providing ongoing production support.

We are currently transitioning our legacy warehouse setup to the EDP, creating an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major transformation.

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Engineer/Analyst with a strong SQL background and a data-driven mindset to join our team.

This role requires a versatile individual who can wear multiple hats, acting as Data Engineer, Business Analyst, and Data Analyst as project needs dictate.

You will play a key role in building and maintaining data pipelines, developing reports, and collaborating with business stakeholders.

This position demands excellent communication skills, the ability to explain technical details clearly, and a proactive approach to learning new technologies.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines on the EDP.

- Write complex SQL queries for data transformation, analysis, and report generation.

- Develop insightful and interactive PowerBI reports and dashboards.

- Gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into technical specifications.

- Contribute to the transition of the legacy data warehouse to the EDP.

- Provide ongoing production support for data solutions.

- Collaborate effectively with team members and business stakeholders.

- Participate in data/semantic modeling and contribute to the overall data architecture.

- Proactively identify and solve data-related problems.

- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the "bigger picture" while working on assigned tasks.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Minimum 4 years of experience in a data-focused role.

- Expert-level SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.

- Proven experience in major Data warehouse implementations.

- Proficiency in Databricks.

- Strong Python programming skills.

- Experience developing PowerBI reports and dashboards.

- Familiarity with cloud technologies (any cloud platform experience is a plus).

- Core development expertise in at least one of the following technologies: SQL Server, Informatica, Oracle, Cognos.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Experience with data/semantic modeling.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- A proactive and adaptable mindset, with a willingness to learn new technologies.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Knowledge of data governance best practices.

- Experience with Agile methodologies
