Our team is growing, so we are on the lookout for a passionate Senior Operations Engineer to join our NOC team at our Gurugram office. This position will be in hybrid mode and you will be required to work from office at least 2/3 days in a week(or as suggested by the Reporting Manager).

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for supporting SSPs technical infrastructure estate.
• Good knowledge of PowerShell
• Ability to monitor and raise support incidence on infrastructure services that alert as being offline
• Ability to lead on projects / work delivery that need to be completed out of core working hours
• Responsible for raising MIM (Major incident Manager) in the event of key service failures
• Knowledge of cloud services such as AWS and Azure
• Knowledge on infrastructure best practice
• Participate with out of hours patching practices of cloud and on prem server estates
• Any knowledge on networking an advantage
• Maintain and update monitoring platforms
• Manage and maintain documentation in accordance with business standard
• Manage associate and other out of hours engineers
• Maintain a level head in the event of service outages
• Mentor and lead other colleagues in future / further development
• Manage the shift pattern of your team
• Change control processes
• Support desk / help desk ticket responses
• Work as the deputy to the NOC team lead and help manage shifts and resources where required.
• The Operations team will be responsible for managing and maintaining core services and upgrading core services outside of normal working business hours.
• As the senior operations engineer you will be responsible for all out of hours activities for the SSP server infrastructure based in the UK and were monitored for services outside of the UK if it falls into support in the future.   As the lead you will be encouraged to empower, work alongside fellow engineers and the engineers that you manage. 
• You will be responsible for assisting with the day in / day out operations over night and report into the Head of Infrastructure.

The primary aspect of the role is to maintain systems / platform stability, ensure that service standards do not slip and that key services are always maintained in an online / available status.  This role will need an element of flexibility as we move from On-prem to cloud services so its a case of being involved in some of the out of hours activities to ensure this objective is meet and that the correct monitoring and maintenance schedule are kept up to date.
