Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Press Release Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating compelling press communications, specifically in the automotive or EV space, and will play a vital role in shaping SVM’s brand image and media presence globally. This role will be responsible for crafting strategic press releases, fostering strong media relationships, and managing brand messaging to align with SVM’s vision and mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Content Development: Write and distribute high-quality press releases that align with SVM’s mission, values, and strategic goals.
• Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and other key stakeholders to promote positive coverage of SVM’s achievements, products, and innovations.
• Strategic Communication: Develop and execute strategic communication plans to support product launches, milestones, corporate news, and sustainability initiatives.
• Brand Positioning: Ensure that press communications align with SVM's brand identity, vision, and leadership role in the EV industry.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments (marketing, product development, leadership, etc.) to gather insights, ensure accuracy, and translate technical content into impactful public statements.
• Event Support: Collaborate with the team to plan and execute press events, conferences, and media interactions.
• Crisis Management: Act as a proactive communicator to ensure timely and effective responses to media inquiries and potential challenges related to brand reputation.
• Metrics & Reporting: Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of press releases and media outreach efforts. Prepare performance reports to identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in PR or media communication roles, preferably within the automotive, EV, or manufacturing industries.
• Proven expertise in writing press materials, including press releases, op-eds, speeches, and briefing notes.
• Established media relationships and experience engaging with national and international media outlets.
• Strong strategic thinking, with excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Experience working with senior leadership and coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with the electric vehicle market, sustainable transportation trends, and technological innovation is a plus.
• Proficiency in digital communication strategies and analytics tools to track media engagement
