Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to implement and maintain network solutions while managing infrastructure upgrades and establishing networks for new Material offices. Oversee monitoring, disaster recovery, and load balancer maintenance, collaborating globally with IT teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

Implementation

• Implement and manage Materials network services (LAN, WAN, WLAN, security) with a focus on performance, user experience, privacy, and security
• Educate IT teams on optimizing network technologies, mitigating risks, and delivering secure, adaptable solutions aligned with evolving business needs

Collaboration

• Support global IT operations in a 24x5 rotating shift, shaping strategies for the network's future state
• Facilitate stakeholder discussions and partner with IT and security teams to evaluate, implement, and manage effective processes and technologies

Operations

• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, creating resolution scripts for faster recovery while monitoring KPIs to ensure service effectiveness and identify improvements
• Communicate proactively with stakeholders to align expectations, highlight reliability, and promote a user-centric IT culture focused on practical solutions
• Document and support the network service landscape, enhancing team understanding and driving secure, adaptable solutions
• Stay updated on security trends and best practices, recommending proactive improvements to strengthen network services

Skills and Experience required:

• Education & Certifications: Bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience; CCNA certification (mandatory), CCNP is preferred; networking certification on AWS, Azure, or GCP, and knowledge of SOC 2/ISO 27001 is a plus
• Network Management Expertise: Experience managing large-scale network solutions, including Nexus 5K/7K chassis, Catalyst series (e.g., 3850), Cisco FTDs, FMC, ASA, and F5 APM/LTM
• Connectivity & Security: Implemented high availability (VRRP/HSRP), site-to-site (MPLS, SD-WAN, IPsec, SSL VPNs), and security solutions (IPS/IDS, gateway anti-malware, web/content filtering, Cisco ISE)
• Routing & Protocols: Expertise in dynamic routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) and cloud network connectivity (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Operations Experience: 3–5 years in network engineering, with familiarity in syslogs, SIEM tools, and IPAM
• Proven Results: Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into effective network solutions, managing LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, proxies, WAFs, and load balancers
