PostgreSQL Architect / Lead - Performance Tuning

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PostgreSQL SQL Architect/Lead to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of PostgreSQL database architecture, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in designing and optimizing database solutions.

As a PostgreSQL SQL Architect/Lead, you will play a key role in defining and implementing database strategies, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.

Responsibilities :

1. Database Architecture :

- Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL database solutions that align with the organization's objectives.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and translate business requirements into efficient database structures.

2. Performance Optimization :

- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of PostgreSQL databases for optimal efficiency and responsiveness.

- Identify and resolve bottlenecks and other issues affecting database performance.

3. Data Security :

- Implement and enforce security best practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.

- Stay updated on security vulnerabilities and apply patches and updates as needed.

4. Backup and Recovery :

- Develop and implement robust backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability in the event of system failures.

5. Documentation :

- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database architectures, processes, and procedures.

- Train and mentor team members on best practices and standards.

6. Collaboration :

- Collaborate with software developers to integrate database functionality into applications seamlessly.

- Work closely with system administrators to ensure optimal database server configurations.
