Job Description

Design and develop comprehensive Test Plans and Test Cases , ensuring alignment with product requirements and customer expectations. Lead and mentor the team in identifying edge-case scenarios and ensuring test coverage.

Establish and oversee automation frameworks to enhance test efficiency and scalability, contributing to continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams , including Product Management, Development, and Customer Support, to ensure seamless integration of quality processes into the product lifecycle.

Engage directly with customers to understand real-world deployment scenarios , collect feedback, and create robust Proof-of-Concepts or network test topologies that emulate real-world use cases.

Provide technical leadership in debugging and resolving complex issues, guiding the team in root-cause analysis, and driving solutions for customer-reported defects.

Lead efforts to optimize and scale regression suites and improve test performance metrics to ensure product quality in large-scale deployments.

Evaluate and qualify new hardware platforms for compliance with functional, performance, and scalability requirements.

Serve as a subject-matter expert (SME) in network testing, influencing product design decisions and fostering innovation in test methodologies.

Work in an Agile environment, leading team retrospectives and contributing to continuous improvement processes across engineering teams.

Train, mentor, and guide junior engineers in test methodologies, automation, and troubleshooting.

Act as a technical advisor to stakeholders, presenting test strategies, findings, and insights during reviews and executive briefings.

Job Requirements

Education : BS/BTech/MS/MTech/MCA in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputed institution.

12+ years of relevant experience in software testing, quality assurance, and test engineering.
Proven expertise in designing and executing test strategies for large-scale, complex networking products.
Proven expertise in web application testing and cloud-based environments, including APIs, microservices, and, containerized applications.

Technical Skills :

Advanced understanding of networking fundamentals and in-depth knowledge of Layer-2 and Layer-3 protocols .

Strong understanding in web technologies (HTTP, REST APIs, JSON etc).

Strong proficiency in test automation frameworks and scripting using Python , Perl , TCL , or other languages.

Expertise in web automation with selenium or test complete or similar tools.

Hands-on experience with tools like SmartTest , Jenkins , Terraform, Kubernetes and CI/CD frameworks.

Expertise in configuring routing/switching devices and crafting protocol-specific configurations.

Familiarity with network test equipment , including traffic generators (Ixia, Spirent), and hardware routers/switches.

Strong knowledge of performance testing tools and monitoring systems (Postman etc)

CCNP/CCIE or equivalent certification preferred.

Certification in Cloud Platform (AWS/Azure/GCP) are strong advantage.

Leadership and Soft Skills :

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience in presenting to senior leadership and external customers.
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams, driving technical excellence and fostering a collaborative environment.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of resolving complex issues and driving product quality.
