Opportunity for Pre-Sales Engineer (Network Monitoring Tools)

Experience Required: 2 to 5 years
Preferred Tool: PRTG Network Monitor (experience in similar tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, etc., is also acceptable)
Location: Mumbai
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

1. Pre-Sales Activities

• Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations for prospects and clients.
• Develop and present Proof of Concept (POC) and solution designs tailored to customer needs.

2. Solution Design

• Analyze customer environments and recommend appropriate network monitoring solutions.
• Create technical architecture diagrams and implementation roadmaps.
• Customize monitoring configurations, including dashboards, alerts, and reports.

3. Technical Expertise

• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of PRTG or similar network monitoring tools.
• Configure and troubleshoot network devices, SNMP, WMI, APIs, and other monitoring protocols.
• Understand system performance metrics, thresholds, and troubleshooting methodologies.

4. Customer Engagement

• Address customer queries and objections during the sales cycle with confidence and clarity.
• Act as a technical liaison between the customer, sales, and implementation teams.
• Build strong relationships with clients by ensuring they understand the value of the proposed solution.

5. Documentation and Support

• Prepare RFP/RFI responses and technical documentation.
• Support post-sales teams during the transition to implementation.

Skills & Qualifications

1. Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with PRTG or similar network monitoring tools.
• Strong understanding of IT networks, protocols (TCP/IP, SNMP, ICMP), and network devices (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Experience in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, etc) for automation is a plus.

2. Soft Skills

• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
• Team player with excellent problem-solving skills.

3. Education

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications like CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or certifications in network monitoring tools are advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in handling large-scale network environments.
• Understanding of cloud-based monitoring and hybrid environments.

Occasional traveling to customer places based on project to any location within / outside India would be required.
