Role & responsibilities
Strategic Advisory and Investment Facilitation:
- Provide comprehensive strategic advisory services to global data centre and technology companies evaluating investment opportunities in India.
- Develop in-depth market intelligence reports, including demand forecasting, competitive benchmarking, and ecosystem analysis, to guide investor decision-making.
- Understand the evolving global data centre landscape and key trends in both technology and policies to do a SWOT analysis for India
Stakeholder Management and Policy marketing:
- Collaborate with senior government officials to address data centre related regulatory challenges, incentives etc. to fast-track investment processes.
- Assist in engagement with state governments to identify and secure suitable land, negotiate infrastructure incentives, and streamline environmental and power clearances.
Partnerships and Deal Facilitation:
- Build and leverage a robust network of ecosystem partners, including infrastructure providers, technology firms, and policy stakeholders, to facilitate partnerships and project execution.
Global Outreach and Investment Promotion:
- Represent Invest India at industry forums and events, advocating for India as a premier investment destination.
Collaboration across Data Centre Ecosystem:
- Understand, map out and build relationships with leaders of key ecosystem components who would be associated with data centre opportunities. The primary purpose of this is to cross-validate leads and projections over the next 3-year period as well as to understand dependencies and demand projections.
- Identify key global and local experts across the data centre ecosystem from academia and industry that can referred to for their expertise in case of third party
Communication and marketing:
- To build sector specific content that can be used by senior leadership and government officials.
- Build frameworks that can be used to provide insights on the data centre installed base and key parameters that would be meaningful to prospective investors
- To be able to put together a series of 12 topics annually, related to the data centre market in India that is well researched and could be done in collaboration with the ecosystem. Some examples include blogs, webinars, expert series talks etc
Skills Required
- Strong understanding of Data Centre and Cloud Computing Domains: In-depth understanding of data centre infrastructure, cloud computing technologies, market trends, and associated ecosystems, enabling effective advisory and investment facilitation.
- Strategic Problem Solving: Ability to structure complex problems, conduct in-depth analysis, and deliver actionable recommendations.
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with senior government officials, global investors, and CXO level industry leaders.
- Project Management: Proficiency in managing cross-functional teams, meeting tight deadlines, and delivering results in high-pressure environments.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and seizing opportunities, ready to roll up their sleeves to get the work done / do the job
Educational qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in any of the following areas Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering or a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on IT Management, Data Centre Management, or Project Management is required
Master of Technology (M.Tech) or Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Network Engineering is preferred but not required
