Specialist - Paediatrics & Neonatology

• As a Specialist in Paediatrics & Neonatology, your role is to provide specialized medical care to infants, children, and adolescents
• You will focus on diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of pediatric conditions, ensuring the health and well-being of your young patients

Here are some key responsibilities and tasks associated with this role:

• Clinical Evaluation and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients, including taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, and ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
• Use your expertise to diagnose and treat various pediatric conditions
• Neonatal Care: Provide specialized care to newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) or special care nursery
• Monitor the health and development of premature infants or those with complex medical needs, and coordinate multidisciplinary care for neonates
• Treatment Planning and Management: Develop treatment plans tailored to the individual needs of pediatric patients
• Prescribe medications, order and interpret laboratory tests, and coordinate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
• Preventive Care and Vaccinations: Promote preventive care by monitoring growth and development, providing vaccinations according to the recommended schedules, and offering guidance on nutrition, safety, and well-child care
• Chronic Disease Management: Manage chronic conditions that affect children, such as asthma, diabetes, congenital heart diseases, and developmental disorders
• Monitor patients' conditions, provide ongoing care, and coordinate with specialists as needed
