Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Retail Project Head to lead and oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of retail projects, including store rollouts, renovations, and expansion initiatives. This role requires expertise in project management, retail operations, and stakeholder coordination to ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, while meeting the brands quality standards.


Candidates must have footwear industry experience.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Planning and Execution:
    • Lead the planning, design, and execution of retail store projects, including new store openings, renovations, and relocations.
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders.
  2. Team and Stakeholder Management:
    • Coordinate with internal teams (operations, design, procurement, and marketing) and external vendors, contractors, and consultants.
    • Lead project teams and ensure clear communication of project goals and responsibilities.
  3. Budget and Cost Control:
    • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and financial compliance.
    • Monitor expenses and implement cost-control measures without compromising quality.
  4. Site Development and Design Oversight:
    • Oversee site selection, feasibility analysis, and leasing coordination for new retail locations.
    • Ensure store designs align with brand guidelines and customer experience objectives.
  5. Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure all projects adhere to legal, safety, and environmental standards.
    • Obtain necessary permits, licenses, and approvals from relevant authorities.
  6. Risk Management and Problem Resolution:
    • Identify potential risks and challenges in project execution and develop mitigation plans.
    • Address and resolve on-site issues to avoid delays and maintain quality standards.
  7. Project Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Track project progress using project management tools and ensure adherence to milestones.
    • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, risks, and outcomes.
  8. Post-Project Evaluation:
    • Conduct post-project evaluations to assess success and identify areas for improvement.
    • Ensure smooth handover of completed projects to operations teams.

Qualifications and Skills

  1. Educational Background:
    • Bachelors degree in Project Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • PMP/PRINCE2 certification or advanced project management training is a plus.
  2. Experience:
    • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in retail or real estate projects.
    • Proven track record of delivering multiple, complex projects within deadlines and budgets.
  3. Skills:
    • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
    • Excellent planning, organizational, and time-management skills.
    • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  4. Competencies:
    • In-depth knowledge of retail project lifecycle, store development, and construction processes.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
    • Analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

  • Timely completion of retail projects within budget and scope.
  • Adherence to brand standards and quality benchmarks.
  • Cost efficiency and variance from initial budgets.
  • Stakeholder satisfaction and feedback.
