Job Overview

At Space Palette, the Finance team plays a critical role in managing and optimizing the firms financial operations. Key responsibilities include managing budgets, preparing financial statements, analysing financial performance, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The Finance team works collaboratively with other departments to ensure accurate financial management, efficient cash flow, and strategic investment decisions, all while providing valuable insights to guide the firms financial health and success.

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and manage financial plans, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic goals
• Analyse financial performance and provide insights to guide decision-making
• Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders
• Monitor and manage budgets for various projects and departments, addressing variances as needed
• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable and receivable, and ensure accurate financial statements
• Manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity and optimize cash management strategies
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies
• Conduct financial audits, manage relationships with external auditors, and address financial risks
• Review and manage financial terms in contracts, oversee invoicing processes, and resolve any financial discrepancies
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights, support, and assist in financial training and development
• Contribute to long-term financial strategy, business planning, and recommend improvements for operational efficiency and profitability
  

Skills and Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance or related field; professional certification (e.g., CA, CFA, etc…) preferred
• Minimum 5 years experience in finance roles
• Sound knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
• Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, financial reporting, and MS Excel, Tally
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
