JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

• Drawing study/ reviews
• G&D Concepts understanding and developing Gauges/Fixtures
• Gauge Concept review, Gauge Implementation before PPAP
• Fixture Concept review and Fixture Development to prove PPAP Parts
• Manufacturing Tooling concepts review and ensure Tooling.
• New Supplier assessment
• Knowledge of Manufacturing process design and validation.
• Part development through APQP.
• Level 5 PPAP Audit
• Review of supplier’s PPAP documents and approve PSW.
• Rejection analysis and corrective action identification and follow-up
• Assists in resolving issues related to Hi-impact suppliers or chronic suppliers’ improvement.
• Conduct training to suppliers on Development & Process Requirements
• Work with Purchasing to effect in cost reduction with Suppliers.
• Ensure timely / effective 8Ds for Supplier defects with concrete Couter measures.
• To study capacity at supplier end during PPAP & enhance Capacity as per APW/MPW
• Safe Launch Inspection Implementation for PPAP/Tooled up parts until handing over.
• Support supplier waste reduction, cost improvement process!
• Supplier quality audit, consolidation and follow up actions consolidation on corrective actions identified during audits.

Key Performance Indicators:

• Fair knowledge of 2-3 manufacturing technologies. Preferably – Stamping, PDC Casting and Machining Process
• Understand and interpret part drawings and specifications.
• First Time Right of Development with Suppliers
• On time Development of Parts for Customer Build.
• No Launch Concerns /Rejections during Job 1+90 Days Launch

Person/Competency Specification
Essential:Desirable:Knowledge:

• Knowledge of E Motors and its component development
• Knowledge of APQP / PPAP / FMEA / SPC / Quality System
• Knowledge of materials
• Knowledge of basic measuring instruments, gauging concept and MSA.
• Relevant product knowledge ( E Motors)
• Costing of various commodities(auto electrical is preferable)
• SAP is an added advantage
