Ensure proper alignment and calibration of machine components.
Operation: Operate milling machines to perform milling, drilling, boring, and other machining operations. Monitor machine performance and adjust settings as needed to maintain product quality and meet production targets.
Tooling Maintenance: Inspect cutting tools and tool holders for wear and damage. Replace worn or damaged tools with new ones to ensure optimal machining performance. Perform routine maintenance tasks on milling machines to keep them in good working condition.
Quality Control: Inspect machined parts and components for accuracy, dimensional tolerances, and surface finish. Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify conformance to engineering drawings and specifications.
Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot issues with milling machines, tooling, or workpieces. Diagnose problems, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to resolve issues and minimize downtime.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety guidelines when operating milling machines and handling materials.
