Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Spare Parts Management:

    • Oversee the inventory of spare parts for automotive operations.
    • Ensure that stock levels are adequate to meet demand without overstocking.
    • Coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement and quality control.

Logistics & Supply Chain:

    • Develop and manage efficient logistical processes for spare parts delivery.
    • Coordinate with internal teams and third-party vendors to streamline supply chains.
    • Monitor transportation costs and negotiate contracts with logistics providers.

Planning & Forecasting:

    • Implement inventory planning tools and forecasting methods to predict demand trends and adjust stock accordingly.
    • Prepare reports and analyses to provide actionable insights on stock movements, consumption rates, and procurement.

Vendor Management:

    • Cultivate strong relationships with key vendors to ensure reliable supply of parts.
    • Evaluate and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery reliability.

Team Leadership & Development:

    • Lead and manage the team responsible for spare parts handling, logistics, and inventory.
    • Drive training and continuous improvement within the department.

Budget Control:

    • Manage and track the budget for spare parts procurement and logistics.
    • Ensure cost-efficient processes are maintained while meeting service level agreements.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Industry Expertise: Strong understanding of the automotive sector, particularly in spare parts management and logistics.
  • Leadership & Management: Proven experience leading a team and managing complex processes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Planning & Forecasting: Expertise in using planning software and tools (ERP systems, inventory management platforms) to forecast demand and manage stock levels.
  • Vendor Relations: Experience in negotiating contracts and managing relationships with suppliers and third-party logistics providers.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong ability to identify inefficiencies and develop strategic solutions to streamline operations and reduce costs.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills for dealing with cross-functional teams, vendors, and leadership.
