eCommerce Solutions Architect - Magento/PHP (5-10 yrs)

We seek a Solutions Architect with deep expertise in headless Magento (Adobe Commerce) and proven success managing complex, multi-region implementations.

This role requires an individual who can develop a robust, scalable platform architecture and oversee comprehensive integrations with diverse enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Architect & Design :

- Create and maintain a high-performing headless Adobe Commerce architecture supporting multiple regions, currencies, and complex localization requirements.

- Ensure the platform accommodates compliance and data privacy regulations for a global customer base.

Integration Leadership :

- Coordinate integrations with critical enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, PIM, payment gateways, BI tools etc) for seamless data exchange and process orchestration.

- Leverage APIs and middleware solutions to streamline operations, including warehouse management, fulfillment, and shipping workflows.

E-commerce Strategy :

- Collaborate with executives and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals, including both Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) and Business-to-Business (B2B) models.

- Propose innovative approaches to deliver best-in-class user experiences.

Performance & Scalability :

- Champion performance optimization across the platform through caching, load balancing, database tuning, and global content delivery networks.

- Plan for peak loads, multi-region deployments, and high availability to minimize downtime.

Compliance & Security :

- Stay up to date with international regulations (GDPR, PCI-DSS, etc.) and implement necessary security measures.

- Guarantee data integrity and privacy across all integrations and user interactions.

Technical Leadership :

- Guide development teams on best practices in coding standards, design patterns, and agile project management.

- Establish architectural principles that can be scaled and adapted over time.

Documentation & Reporting :

- Produce detailed architectural diagrams, integration workflows, and technical specifications.

- Communicate platform status, risks, and opportunities to leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications :

Experience :

- 8+ years in software architecture, focusing on large-scale, high-traffic e-commerce environments.

- 5+ years of hands-on Magento/Adobe Commerce experience, driving customizations, extensions, and integrations for global implementations.

Technical Skills :

- Expert-level understanding of Magento 2, PHP, MySQL, and modern front-end technologies.

- Familiarity with cloud services (preferably Azure) for deploying scalable e-commerce solutions.

- Proficient in integrating ERP, PIM, payment gateways, shipping providers, BI platforms, and CRM systems.

- Deep knowledge of multi-region setups, multi-currency handling, and associated localization practices.

Soft Skills :

- Strong analytical mindset, capable of translating business needs into scalable technical solutions.

- Effective communication across cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.

- Leadership capabilities to mentor and motivate engineering groups.

Certifications :

- Magento 2 Solution Specialist or Adobe Commerce Architect certification is highly valued.
