Job Description :

Senior Architect level profile with expertise in supply chain and system design. Candidate should be able to come to office 2-3 days a week.

What you'll do :

We are looking for Staff Software Engineer to join our Supply chain journey ETA prediction Engine team who will solve complex transportation problems and self-driven to learn new tech idea and out of the box thinking.

- Break down the high-level business problem into technical specifications, connect the dots between various business use cases and design a future looking generic solution for our ETA engine.

- Design, develop and maintain multiple micro services, contribute to design and code review of junior/parallel peers.

- Design, build, test and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting millions of customers worldwide.

- Understanding the data science terminologies like Mean, median, standard deviation and mean absolute error and help to setup a connection between engineering, business and data science.

- Develop a multi-tenant, multi model, generic outward facing contracts and packaging whole product as a service and onboarding new tenants with least manageable configurations.

- Review the design of peer team members and provide critical and constructive feedback to improve their design and architecture skill.

- Data discovery and data source identification, integration with various sources transform into a generic contract.

- Interact with upstream data providers and downstream data consumers.

- Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.

- Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome products.

- Mentoring a team of 8-10 developer team on tech and design aspects of product and suggest next gen solutions.

Competencies :

- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 12+ yrs. of working experience in software development.

- 8 or more years of experience with Java (Spring boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate, EhCache, micrometre) in building multi-threaded high performance scalable applications.

- Good knowledge on Karate framework, API proxy, and App2App Authentication.

- Very strong understanding of various cloud computing platforms like Azure, AWS or GCP.

- Must have good knowledge of big data tools like GCP Big Query/ Azure Data Bricks.

- Hands on in Architecting and developing large scale distributed application which is multi-tenant and multi modal.

- 8 or more yrs. of experience with SQL such as MSSQL, GCP MySQL or NoSQL like Cassandra, Azure Cosmos.

- 8+ Yrs of experience with SOA (Service Oriented Architecture), RESTful web services

- Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures and data stores

- Strong experience in distributed tracing tools and logging systems like Splunk

- Experience in Real time applications, Transactional Systems, Encryption.

- Strong expertise in REST, Messaging (KAFKA, azure event hub), stream processing (SPARK, STORM etc).

- Familiar with AGILE methodologies, understanding of AI and ML is a plus and data pipelines is a plus.

- Candidate having experience with GenAI, Data interpretation and Data visualization would be preferred.
