Snowflake Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and Design: Lead the end-to-end design and architecture of Snowflake data solutions, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and organizational goals.

• Thought Leadership: Act as a thought leader in data architecture, staying ahead of industry trends, influencing the adoption of new technologies, and providing strategic direction for the data platform.

• Implementation and Development: Oversee the implementation of Snowflake-based solutions, including data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and integration with various data sources.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business leaders, data scientists, and other client stakeholders to understand their data needs, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

• Performance Optimization: Identify and implement performance optimizations for the Snowflake environment, ensuring the platform operates efficiently at scale.

• Governance and Security: Establish and enforce data governance, security policies, and best practices within the Snowflake platform.

• Mentorship and Leadership: Mentor and guide data engineers and other technical team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

• Communication: Clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding across the organization.

Desired Skills:

• Experience: Overall 10+ years of experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience in data architecture, with a strong focus on Snowflake.

• Technical Expertise:

• • In-depth knowledge of Snowflake architecture, features, and best practices.

• • Proficiency in SQL, data modelling, and ETL/ELT processes.

• • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and integration with Snowflake.

• • Familiarity with other data tools and technologies such as Python, Spark, and data visualization tools.

• • Experience in consuming REST APIs to source data from third-party systems.

• Thought Leadership: Proven track record of thought leadership in data architecture, including contributions to industry forums, publications, or speaking engagements.

• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.

• Certifications: Snowflake Certification is highly desirable.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies like SNOWPIPE.

• Knowledge of machine learning and AI integration with data platforms, particularly Snowflake CORTEX.

• Familiarity with any data governance tools and practices.
