Job Description
As a Staff Software Engineer, focused on cloud infrastructure automation, you will have the opportunity to work on ServiceNow Platform and Tools, build solutions using workflows, orchestration and developer tools in Private and Public Multi Cloud infrastructure.
What you get to do in this role:
- Build high-quality, clean, scalable and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc.)
- Work with the product owners to understand detailed requirements and own your code from design, implementation, test automation and delivery of high-quality product to our users.
- Design software that is simple to use to allow customers to extend and customize the functionality to meet their specific needs
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while also enhancing the existing product suite
- Plan and execute projects according to organization priorities, considering context, risks, and desired outcomes.
- You will design and develop automations to support the deployment and management of ServiceNow Platform/Products in our own infrastructure as well as Public Clouds
- Development of web-based database applications using MySQL or other relational databases
- Integrate software and services using common API techniques (REST, SOAP, XML, etc.)
- In addition to tools and automation, you will interact with other members of the infrastructure organization and the ServiceNow development teams.
To be successful:
- Solid foundation in distributed systems with proven experience designing and architecting Systems
- Advanced programming or scripting skills (using JavaScript) and experience in object-oriented design
- Experience in Cloud Security, Public Key Infrastructure, Encryption technologies is desirable
- Exposure to Containers, Machine Learning or Big Data will be an advantage
- Experience working in Public Cloud environments such as Azure, AWS or GCP
- Excellent technical design, problem-solving, debugging skills and an aptitude for learning new technologies
- Team player, attention to detail and ability to work well and communicate with others
- 6+ years of experience in a professional software development
- 6+ years of experience in Software Development especially in Java and/or JavaScript.
- 6+ years of experience in SaaS and/or Cloud infrastructure development.
