Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Inside Sales / Parent & Student Counselor to join our dynamic team. This role combines the responsibilities of sales and counseling, focused on guiding parents and students through their decision-making process for enrolling into Skill Wallet. You will be the first point of contact for prospective students and their families, helping them understand our offerings, addressing concerns, and driving the enrollment process.


Key Responsibilities:


Sales & Lead Conversion:

  • Identify, qualify, and follow up on inbound leads (calls, emails, and inquiries from various sources).
  • Present our programs/services to prospective students and parents through calls, emails, or video consultations.
  • Effectively communicate the benefits and value of our offerings, tailoring solutions based on the needs of the student and family.
  • Convert leads into enrollments, meeting or exceeding monthly sales targets and KPIs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions with students/parents

Student & Parent Counseling:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to parents and students, answering questions about Skill Wallet, enrollment process, and career pathways.
  • Guide students and parents through the decision-making process, providing them with detailed information and recommendations based on their needs and aspirations.
  • Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with students and parents to discuss academic goals, program fit, financial considerations, and career options.
  • Build strong relationships with students and families, ensuring a high level of trust and satisfaction.

Administrative & Coordination Tasks:

  • Assist with processing applications and completing necessary documentation for student admissions.
  • Organize and schedule follow-up calls, interviews, or consultations for prospective students.
  • Coordinate with the admissions team to ensure smooth enrollment and onboarding for new students.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of programs, pricing, scholarships, and all relevant offerings to accurately inform potential clients.

Market & Product Feedback:

  • Gather insights from parents and students about their needs, concerns, and feedback regarding our programs.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to improve outreach, messaging, and program offerings based on market feedback.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:


Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Education, Business, Marketing, or a related field.

Additional certifications or training in counseling or sales is a plus.


Experience:


  • Proven experience in inside sales, student counseling, or customer service.
  • Previous experience in the education industry or with educational institutions (schools, colleges, test prep, coaching centers, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Experience in using CRM software or sales automation tools.

Skills & Competencies:


  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong active listening skills and the ability to understand and address student and parent concerns effectively.
  • Goal-oriented with the ability to manage sales targets while providing personalized support.
  • Problem-solving abilities with the flexibility to adapt to changing situations.
  • Empathy and patience, with a genuine interest in helping students and parents achieve their educational goals.
  • Basic knowledge of educational systems, programs, and career options is an advantage.
  • Multitasking and strong organizational skills to handle multiple leads and counseling sessions efficiently.

Technical Skills:


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and lead management platforms.
  • Comfortable with virtual meeting tools (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.)
