Bms Project Engineer

Role Vision and Responsibilities:

As the Central Project Lead at Smart Joules, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of HVAC projects by overseeing technical feasibility studies, vendor management, planning, execution, cost control, and project coordination. You will collaborate closely with project managers to deliver projects that meet and exceed customer expectations while optimizing costs and resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Scope and Timeline Management:

• Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies for all HVAC projects.
• Collaborate with top management to finalize project timelines and scope.

2. Workforce Planning and Resource Deployment:

• Strategize and plan resource allocation for both new and existing projects.

3. Vendor Management and Procurement:

• Partner with the Procurement team to identify OEM vendors.
• Conduct thorough vendor and equipment comparisons based on efficiency, cost, and delivery timelines.

4. Project Progress Monitoring and Reporting:

• Monitor project progress and coordinate with the Execution team.
• Provide timely reports to stakeholders, including timeline summaries, budget summaries, and any deviations from estimates, along with corrective actions.

5. Project Coordination and Issue Resolution:

• Coordinate project schedules, issues, and budgets.
• Proactively address any challenges to ensure project milestones are met.

6. System Design and Equipment Selection:

• Collaborate with the Central Design team on equipment sizing, selection, and system design.

7. Energy Audit Instrument Handling:

• Proficiently handle Energy Audit Instruments such as Flue Gas Analyzer, Anemometer, Ultrasonic Water Flowmeter, Ultrasonic Steam Trap Leak Detector, Clamp-On-Power Meter, and Three Phase Load Analyzer.

8. Compliance Monitoring:

• Ensure adherence to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications throughout project implementation.

Experience :

• Completed studies in mechanical engineering, energy technology or comparable training/qualification
• Advantage: experience in the field of HVAC systems (control, regulation measurement, protection, and communication systems)
• 8+ years of experience covering a mix of, project design, energy management, project planning, and project execution.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment.
• Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.

Education : Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field; Masters degree preferred.
