Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Specialist with 3 to 5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong scripting skills, hands-on experience with networking (including internet, firewalls, and IT tools), and expertise in implementing security best practices. Familiarity with cloud platforms (Google Cloud) is a big plus.
Scripting Automation:
- Develop and maintain scripts for automating IT processes (using Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
- Improve system efficiency through automation of repetitive tasks and workflows
Networking:
- Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot network components including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
- Configure and maintain network security protocols such as firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Ensure reliable internet connectivity and internal network performance
Security Best Practices Implementation:
- Implement and maintain industry-standard security best practices across all systems and networks
- Develop and enforce security policies, such as password management, data encryption, and access controls
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing
- Proactively monitor systems for potential security breaches and respond to incidents promptly
- Collaborate with the team to develop and execute security protocols and incident response plans
IT Tools Support:
- Administer and maintain IT tools for system monitoring, ticketing, and team collaboration
- Provide technical support, diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for internal teams
- 3-5 years of experience in IT support, networking, or a related role
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.
- Deep understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching)
- Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and other network security technologies
- Proven ability to implement and enforce security best practices and policies
- Familiarity with IT tools such as monitoring software, ticketing systems, and version control
- Knowledge of security frameworks and ability to perform regular security assessments and audits
- Experience with Google Cloud platforms is a big plus
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, especially in security-relate challenges
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
