Role Description :

This is a full-time on-site Cloud Lead/Team Lead role located in Bengaluru at Skilltasy. The Cloud Lead/Team Lead will be responsible for containerization, Docker, Kubernetes, and VMware. Day-to-day tasks include overseeing cloud operations, implementing containerization strategies, managing Docker and Kubernetes environments, and optimizing VMware configurations.

Qualifications :

- Proficiency in Containerization, Docker, Kubernetes, and VMware.

- Experience in cloud operations and management.

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Knowledge of networking and security principles in cloud environments.

- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

- Experience in team management and project leadership.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Relevant certifications in cloud technologies are a plus.

Responsibilities :

- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our cloud environment, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

- Implement and maintain robust monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve issues.

- Optimize resource utilization and cost efficiency through effective cloud management practices.

- Lead the implementation and management of containerization strategies using Docker.

- Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration and scaling.

- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment of containerized applications.

- Manage and optimize VMware environments, ensuring efficient resource allocation and performance.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex virtualization issues.

- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

- Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.

- Plan and execute cloud-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

- Provide technical guidance and support to development teams.

- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.

- Implement and maintain security best practices in cloud environments.

- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.

- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends.

- Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.

- Contribute to the development of cloud strategy and roadmap.
