We are seeking an experienced ML Engineer researcher with expertise in Large Language Models to join our AI team.

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying advanced machine learning models, bringing cutting-edge research from concept to implementation.

Working closely with data, software engineers, and product managers, you will create AI-driven applications that have a direct impact on our business.

This role requires a strong research-focus mindset, programming skills in Python, proficiency in major ML frameworks and tools, and an understanding of the latest developments in machine learning and AI.

You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift and be willing to own problems end-to-end.

Key responsibilities :

- Design and deploy advanced machine learning models, focusing on Large Language Models (LLMs) to solve Gen AI-based product problems.

- Bring research concepts to implementation, creating AI-driven applications with direct business impact.

- Collaborate closely with researchers, software engineers, and product managers to understand complex business challenges and deliver AI-powered solutions.

- Implement scalable data pipelines and optimize models for performance and accuracy.

- Ensure models are production-ready and maintain them to continue delivering value.

- Stay updated with the latest developments in machine learning and AI.

- Monitor and maintain deployed models, ensuring their effectiveness over time.

- Navigate and prioritize tasks in an environment with loosely defined projects and competing deadlines.

- Own problems end-to-end, acquiring the necessary knowledge to get the job done.

- Effectively manage multiple stakeholders, ensuring alignment of product development with business.

Experience :

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in machine learning engineering, with a focus on NLP and Large Language Models.

- Demonstrated experience in deep learning and transformer models.

- Proven expertise in building fine-tuned LLMs and implementing the latest research techniques such as continuous pre-training, (Q)Lora, RLHF, RLAIF, DPO, etc.

- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.

- Research publication in ML field.

Skills/Abilities/Knowledge :

- Strong programming skills in Python.

- Proficiency in major ML frameworks and tools: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, Matplotlib.

- Experience with ML operations tools like Weights & Biases (wandb), MLflow.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Education :

- Master's degree or PhD in ML Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics Languages

- Excellent conversational and written knowledge in English (C1 level minimum).

- French and Spanish language skills are a bonus.
