Site Reliability Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Analyst & Release Management Specialist with expertise in Linux administration (L2 level), real-time system monitoring, and operational alerts management. The candidate will play a key role in designing test plans, executing tests, identifying defects, managing software releases, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The specialist will also handle on-call responsibilities, conduct root cause analysis during and after client outages, and document resolutions to prevent future issues. Proficiency in tools such as Jenkins, Jira, Splunk, New Relic, SOAP UI, and Postman is essential, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities 

 Release Management: 

Design comprehensive test plans for software and hardware products.

Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects in functionality, usability, and performance.

Document and report defects, tracking their resolution.

Ensure all testing activities comply with company guidelines and industry standards.

Perform API testing using tools like SOAP UI and Postman to ensure the functionality and reliability of web services.

Write and execute SQL queries for testing, reporting, and troubleshooting purposes.

Optimize database queries and performance as needed.

Coordinate and manage software releases, ensuring smooth transitions between development, testing, and production environments.

Leverage Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) management.

Use Jira to track issues, manage release cycles, and coordinate tasks across teams.

Real-Time Monitoring & On-Call Responsibilities

 Expectations: 

Technical Expertise:Proficiency with testing tools (Selenium, Testim, TestRail), Jenkins for CI/CD, Jira for issue and project tracking, and API testing tools (SOAP UI, Postman). Strong knowledge of Linux administration (L2 level) and monitoring tools (Splunk, New Relic).

Root Cause Analysis:Ability to perform detailed root cause analysis during and after outages and implement corrective actions.

Problem-Solving & Attention to Detail:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness in testing and monitoring activities.
