Job Description

1. Part Development Proto and Regular past as per drawing,categories including, Vendor Pricing / Cost, Contractual Relationships, LeadTime, Inventory Levels etc.

2. Continuously explore alternative sources of Partdevelopment.

3. Ensure internal coordination / communication withcross functional teams from R&D, Production, Marketing, Finance andManufacturing Engineering functions to ensure effective planning anddevelopment.

4. Responsible for the following activities for therespective category of Part development.

a. Vendor identification

b. Vendor qualification assessment and short-listing

c. Release of Request for Quotation/ Enquiry

d. Receipt of offers from vendors and Preparation ofcomprehensive comparative statements.

e. Develop sourcing and negotiation strategies for keyspend areas.

f. Monitor the process of Commercial Negotiation Meetingsand finalization of the most optimal price with the vendors.

g. Ensure obtaining of commercial concurrence.

h. Ensure set-up of Agreements with the finalizedvendors, and timely release of Purchase Order, Sample approval and PPAPApproval.

i. Closer of sample approval and PPAP open points.

5. Follow up with supplier to develop the parts as per definedlead time.

6. Continuously evaluate vendor capacity, performance& take initiative for continuous improvement.

7. Focus on cost reduction project Ensureimplementation of VAVE and Alternate part development parts into regularproduction.

8. Coordinate with internal/external auditors to resolvequeries and review post audit observations; identify and monitor improvementinitiatives.

9. Attend meeting and ensure Daily Work Management.

10. Closure of supplierpending payment, tooling payment and Job work challan.

11. Packaging signs off and improvements.

12. Implementation of Engineering Change Notes.

Suggested for freshers, who will put under pressure to learn lot things in short span.

Dislikes

Work culture (worst), They’ll say systematic approach, but that will be 100% of manual work for all. Due to boss behaviour (specially in MCD dept), we’ll be getting scold for unwanted subjects. 2 person will ruin our life if you stay more than 1.5yrs.
