Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and results-driven Venture Capitalist with a strong finance background to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and investing in high-potential start-ups and growth-stage companies. This role requires strong financial acumen, expertise in business analysis, and the ability to make strategic investment decisions that drive growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities by analyzing financial data, market trends, and business models.
• Develop and maintain financial models for start-ups and businesses, assessing their profitability, growth potential, and investment risks.
• Conduct in-depth due diligence, including financial, legal, and operational assessments, to evaluate investment viability.
• Oversee and monitor the performance of portfolio companies, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and identifying growth opportunities.
• Provide strategic guidance to portfolio companies, leveraging your financial expertise to optimize their growth and profitability.
• Assist in structuring investments, including equity and debt financing, to maximize returns and minimize risk.
• Prepare financial reports and forecasts for investment portfolios, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies to safeguard investments and ensure a solid financial structure.
• Work closely with entrepreneurs, executives, and other investors to create value and drive business growth.
• Networking & Industry Trends: Stay informed about market trends, industry news, and emerging investment opportunities.

Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of corporate finance, venture capital, and investment strategies.
• Expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and financial statement analysis.
• Familiarity with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind-AS) and tax regulations.
• Experience in managing and optimizing company cash flow and capital structure.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, variances, and business opportunities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, portfolio companies, and investors.
• Experience in due diligence processes and negotiating investment terms.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CA/ICWA/MBA in Finance or equivalent degree.
• 6+ years of experience in venture capital or a finance-related role, preferably within private equity or investment management.
• Strong knowledge of financial software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
• Leadership experience in mentoring teams and guiding investment strategies.
• Experience in structuring and managing investments in early-stage companies.
