Software Engineering Manager

Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation, and manufacture of products across many different industries. Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.

The primary and majority function of this job is to manage a team. Manages personnel activities of staff (ie hires, trains, appraises, pay, rewards, motivates, disciplines, recommends termination as vital, etc).

Design, develop, modify, and implement software programming for products (both internal and external) with focus on surpassing customer expectations, on achieving high quality and timely delivery.

Responsible for ensuring the overall functional quality of the released product on all required platforms and mechanism.

Ability to understand complex products, solutions, and problems.

Builds, documents, and implements software designs which may involve signi cant re-architecture of meaningful systems, de ning and coordinating implementation of wide-reaching impacts.

Acts as Technical lead of projects that span multiple areas of a product.

Broad and direct consulting with customers in regard to future upgrades and products.

Sets the technical direction for one area of a product.

Promotes innovation through the ability to introduce new technology/knowledge into multiple areas of a product and to our people.

Able to solve the most complex of technical problems.

Technical Lead in guiding junior engineers.

Works without supervision on the most complex projects with complete latitude for independent judgment and technical expertise.

Advanced knowledge of the eld.

Assist with less experienced peers.

Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related eld

8+ years total working experience of software development or management

We are looking for a candidate with minimum 2+ years management experience of leading multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Programming experience in any one of Java/C# languages. Experience using TypeScript and NodeJS is a plus !

We are seeking for candidate who has understanding of Agile methodologies (eg, Scrum, Kanban) with some experience in leading Agile teams.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to optimally work with cross-functional teams across subject areas, roles, and geographical and time zone boundaries

Proven ability to mentor and guide team members, fostering their growth and development.

1. Have a good understanding of modern architectures and DevOps principles
2. Experience with cloud service development, deployments and operations, scalability and reliability and resources optimization.
3. Familiar with one or more products in the Siemens Digital Industry Software portfolio, such as NX, Teamcenter, Simcenter, Opcenter, Mendix, Insights Hub, Siemens Xcelerator.
4. Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
5. Familiarity with security best practices and implementing security controls in a cloud environment
