We are looking for an experienced and dynamic General Manager - Sales to lead our sales department and drive growth in our new car sales division. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of at least 10 years in sales leadership, with significant experience in managing sales teams, driving sales operations, and delivering exceptional results in the automobile industry. This role demands a strategic thinker who can lead by example, mentor a team, and optimize sales processes to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company targets and objectives for new car sales.
Team Leadership & Management: Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to ensure they meet individual and team sales goals. Provide coaching and performance feedback to drive sales excellence.
Sales Operations Oversight: Manage and optimize the day-to-day sales operations, ensuring efficiency, customer satisfaction, and effective execution of sales processes.
Sales Performance Monitoring: Set performance metrics for the team and regularly track and review sales performance against targets. Take corrective actions as needed to meet or exceed goals.
Team Development: Recruit, train, and develop sales staff, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
Customer Relationship Management: Oversee customer relationship management (CRM) processes, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Market & Competitor Analysis: Stay updated with market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Budget & Revenue Management: Work closely with senior management to develop sales budgets, forecast revenue, and monitor expenses to maximize profitability.
Collaboration with Other Departments: Collaborate with marketing, finance, and service departments to ensure a seamless customer experience and drive overall business growth.
Reporting & Analysis: Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and team achievements for senior management.
Key Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the automobile industry (new car sales experience is essential).
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
In-depth knowledge of new car sales processes and operations.
Ability to drive sales strategies and meet aggressive sales targets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
Results-Oriented: Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets through effective sales
planning and team performance management.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and customer behaviors to make informed decisions.
Customer Focused: A strong focus on customer satisfaction and building long-term relationships with clients.
Educational Qualification:
A bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
