Human Resource Manager

As the HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining a high-performing, motivated staff. Reporting directly to the Principal and working closely with the schools leadership team, you will ensure that all human resources functionsranging from recruitment and onboarding to conflict resolution and compliance—are carried out effectively and professionally. Your efforts will directly impact the school’s day-to-day operations and long-term success by fostering a supportive, transparent, and compliant workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruitment & Staffing: Lead the full cycle of talent acquisition, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, reference checks, and onboarding of new staff members.
• Employee Lifecycle Management: Oversee all aspects of the employee journey—onboarding, orientation, contract management, performance evaluations, professional development, and terminations. Coordinate and organise staff training sessions, workshops with teachers, and other professional development programs.
• Records & Documentation: Maintain accurate and organised staff and student records, including employment documentation, attendance records, and personal files, adhering to data protection and confidentiality protocols.
• Compliance & Policy Implementation: Ensure all HR practices align with local labour laws and the school’s policies. Manage Provident Fund (PF) and Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) processes, ensuring accuracy and timely compliance. Update and communicate HR policies, ensuring staff awareness and adherence.
• Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution: Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees, addressing queries, grievances, and conflict resolution. Work proactively with staff to maintain a positive, respectful, and supportive work environment.
• Advisory Role to Leadership: Collaborate with the Principal and administrative team to develop HR strategies, improve staff retention, and foster professional growth opportunities that enhance overall school performance.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• MBA in Human Resources or a related discipline is required.
• Proven experience in HR management, ideally within an educational setting or service-based organisation.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Indian labour laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information tactfully and confidentially.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a diverse team.
