Instrumentation Engineer /Technician

Role & responsibilities

1. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems, including sensors, control panels, PLCs, and SCADA systems.

Diagnose and repair equipment failures to minimize downtime.

2. Process Control and Automation:

Monitor and optimize the performance of automated systems used in chemical distillery processes.

Ensure proper calibration of instrumentation to maintain process accuracy.

3. Installation and Commissioning:

Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new electrical and instrumentation systems.

Interpret technical drawings, circuit diagrams, and P&ID schematics.

4. Compliance and Safety:

Ensure all work complies with safety standards, electrical codes, and industry regulations.

Conduct regular audits and ensure proper functioning of safety interlocks and alarms.

5. Coordination and Documentation:

Collaborate with process engineers and operations teams to achieve production targets.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, calibration data, and equipment inventory.

6. Energy Management:

Monitor power consumption and recommend energy-saving measures to improve efficiency.

Handle electrical load distribution and ensure optimal utilization of resources.

7. Emergency Handling:

Be part of the emergency response team to address equipment breakdowns or power failures.

Ensure continuous plant operation by managing backup systems effectively.

Preferred candidate profile

ITI in electronics, instrument mechanic

Minimum 3 years experience in relevant field

And engineering with minimum 3 years of experience or diploma with minimum 5 years of experience for engineer post
