Role: Data Analyst
Location: Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India
Position Overview: As a Data Analyst at SNF's SHIKSHA Initiative, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging data to drive strategic decisions and optimize educational interventions. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to gather, analyze, and interpret data, contributing to the continuous improvement of educational programs and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the collection, validation, and analysis of data Sources will include survey platforms, manual assessments and feedback, a Learning Management System (LMS), and online repositories-local and cloud. Key activities expected:
a. Liaise with the field operation team to ensure timelines are met
b. Maintain and optimize databases to ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and processing of datasets
c. Design and implement automated workflows for data collection, cleaning, and reporting to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
d. Develop and manage complex queries (SQL, NoSQL, etc.) to quickly extract and analyze data from large datasets, supporting real-time decision-making.
e. Track key parameters using operational datasets
2. Design and implement dashboards and reporting tools to visualize key performance indicators and monitor progress towards program goals.
3. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide analytical and management support for program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
4. Utilize advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to identify trends, patterns, and correlations
5. Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in data analytics and educational research, incorporating innovative approaches into analytical processes.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
2. 3 - 7 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the education sector or related fields.
3. Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis. Preferably using SQL, Python, R, or similar programming languages.
4. Demonstrable skill in using MS Excel Formula, Pivots, Custom Reports. Power Query and VBA skills preferred
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets.
6. Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Quicksight or D3.js, and proficiency in creating interactive dashboards and reports.
7. Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques, predictive modelling, and machine learning algorithms.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
9. Passion for education and a commitment to driving positive social change through data-driven decision-making.
