Job description: Academic Coordinator Science Lab cum R&D
Location: Noida or Dadri
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Academic Coordinator to support the academic programs and initiatives. The Academic Coordinator for Science Lab Cum R&D will work closely with the technical team, field officer, operations team, students, and administrators to ensure the smooth functioning of academic activities and contribute to the overall success of the Project. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
1. Curriculum Support: Collaborate with science faculty/partner organization to align lab activities with academic curriculum standards. Assist in the development of lab exercises and demonstrations that enhance students' understanding of scientific concepts.
2. Technical Assistance: Provide technical support to students and Field Officer during lab sessions. Troubleshoot issues with equipment and assist in setting up experiments.
3. Training and Orientation: Conduct orientation sessions for Field Officers and Govt Teachers to familiarize them with lab facilities, equipment, and safety protocols.
4. Research and Development: Stay updated with advancements in laboratory technology and educational practices. Propose improvements to enhance lab efficiency and student learning experiences.
5. Academic Planning: Collaborate with the academic team and operations to develop and implement academic plans, course schedules, and program requirements.
6. Teacher Support: Assist teachers in course rollout, academic counselling, and resolving academic issues. Monitor student progress and implement strategies to support teachers towards student success.
7. Academic performance monitoring: Ensure regular monitoring of academic performance by adherence to academic procedures, such as grading standards.
8. Data Management: Maintain accurate academic records, including class observation for program evaluations, and program assessment data.
9. Academic Events and Programs: Coordinate academic events, such as orientation programs, workshops, and seminars, for organizational development.
10. Program Evaluation: Assist in evaluating academic programs' effectiveness and propose improvements based on feedback and data analysis.
11. Liaison with government departments and other organizations: Serve as a liaison between academic departments and other stakeholders to address academic-related issues and facilitate communication.
12. R&D Program development: assess the need for further program development and share a possible solution/ concept note for ideation and testing.
Qualifications:
1. Master's degree in Education or Science, Research or Humanities.
2. Experience in academic administration or related educational roles.
3. Knowledge of academic policies, curriculum development, and assessment practices.
4. Strong organizational and project management skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
6. Proficiency in using office software and educational technology tools.
7. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Work experience: around 5 years of experience in implementing science projects in schools or community level.
