BPC Backend Consultant

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient BPC Backend Consultant with a strong expertise in SAP BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation), ABAP, and SAP BW (Business Warehouse) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of backend solutions for SAP BPC applications, including developing custom ABAP code and integrating with SAP BW for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. SAP BPC Backend Development:
o Develop and maintain backend solutions for SAP BPC, ensuring the efficient execution of planning, consolidation, and reporting processes.
o Design and implement custom BPC logic, scripts, and Business Rule configurations for data processing and integration.
o Perform BPC backend optimization for improved performance, especially for complex models and large data sets.
o Manage data flows between SAP BPC and other SAP systems, including SAP BW and SAP ERP.
2. ABAP Development:
o Develop custom ABAP programs, reports, and enhancements for BPC applications to meet specific business requirements.
o Support the creation and maintenance of custom BPC-related functionality using ABAP, including user exits, BADIs, and custom function modules.
o Troubleshoot and resolve ABAP-related issues within SAP BPC and BW environments.
o Collaborate with functional consultants and technical teams to deliver integrated solutions.
3. SAP BW Integration:
o Integrate SAP BPC with SAP BW for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
o Develop and maintain BW InfoProviders, DataSources, and other data objects to facilitate seamless data flow between BW and BPC.
o Optimize data models and queries to enhance reporting and planning performance in both BW and BPC.
Required Skills and Experience:
SAP BPC Expertise:
o Strong experience in the implementation, configuration, and backend development of SAP BPC (Embedded and Standard versions).
o Proficient in BPC Business Rules, logic, data models, and script logic for planning and consolidation processes.

ABAP Development:
o Hands-on experience in ABAP programming, including custom reports, data processing, user exits, BADIs, and enhancements.
o Experience in ABAP performance tuning, debugging, and resolving issues within BPC and BW systems.
SAP BW Integration:
o Experience in integrating SAP BPC with SAP BW for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
o Familiarity with BW InfoProviders, DataSources, queries, and performance tuning in the context of BPC.
Project Experience:
o Minimum of 4-10 years of experience in SAP BPC, ABAP, and BW consulting or development roles.
o Experience with full-cycle SAP BPC implementations, including design, configuration, development, and post-go-live support.
Technical and Analytical Skills:
o Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and optimize backend systems.
o Proficiency in SAP development tools such as Eclipse, ABAP Workbench, and BW workbench.
Communication and Collaboration:
o Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and functional teams.
o Ability to document technical solutions and provide training to end-users as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SAP BPC version for S/4HANA.
Knowledge of SAP HANA, including its impact on BPC and BW integration.
Familiarity with SAP Fiori or SAP S/4HANA interfaces for BPC and BW.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Relevant SAP certifications in BPC, ABAP, or BW are highly desirable.
