Job description
Looking for an experienced Sourcing Specialist for our export house of home
furnishing made ups. Candidates with sound experience of sourcing of trims, yarns
and other raw materials including packaging & labelling sourcing (such as
corrugated boxes, polybags, gross grain ribbons, laces, buttons, hang tag, labels,).
Preference will be given to the candidates who worked in home textile/home
furnishing sector for items like throws, cushions, runners, tree skirts etc.
Roles/responsibilities:
. Evaluate and identify the items/raw materials requirement
. Coordination with the concerned team including the production department to
identify the actual raw materials requirement
. Sourcing of various suppliers as per the requirement
. Negotiate the pricing with suppliers
. Evaluate the performance of existing and new vendors based on timely delivery,
reliability and other details.
. Coordination in connection with the timely order placement and receipt of the
same.
. Ensure that all the sourced yarns, fabrics meet the quality and compliance
standards
. Maintain an accurate sourcing data base and order tracking system
Educational qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Textile Management or related field
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of textile manufacturing process, fabric types,
sourcing/procurement.
- Negotiation and vendor management skills
- Timely reporting
