Fourth Engineer

Engine Room Operations: Assist in operating and maintaining machinery within the engine room, including propulsion systems, generators, boilers, and auxiliary equipment.Routine Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of machinery and equipment under the supervision of senior engineers.Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and maritime standards while performing duties related to the engine room.Watchkeeping: Stand watch as per the duty roster, monitoring machinery, and responding to alarms or operational issues as required.Assistance to Senior Engineers: Assist senior engineers in various tasks, troubleshooting machinery problems, and participating in maintenance and repair activities.Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, machinery performance, and fuel consumption for reporting purposes.Training and Development: Continuously update knowledge and skills related to engineering practices, maritime regulations, and safety protocols.Skills and Qualifications:Maritime education and relevant certifications (STCW - Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping).Understanding of marine engineering principles and machinery operation.Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance with maritime regulations.Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a maritime environment.Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle mechanical issues efficiently.
