Machinist

Role & responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain various machines such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines.
• Ensure proper setup of machines by calibrating settings according to blueprints or specifications.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering plans to understand the requirements of the job.
• Translate designs into precision-machined components.
• Shape, cut, and assemble metal or other materials to create or repair mechanical components.
• Manufacture precision parts with tight tolerances.
• Select appropriate tools, cutters, and fixtures for machining tasks.
• Maintain, sharpen, and replace tools to ensure high-quality output.
• Measure and inspect finished parts using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Ensure all products meet quality standards and tolerances.

Preferred candidate profile

• ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification in Machining, Fitter, or Tool and Die Making; Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient in operating manual and CNC machines (e.g., lathes, milling machines, grinders).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and dial indicators.
• Knowledge of machining operations like turning, milling, drilling, and grinding.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for CNC programming (preferred).

3. Experience:

• Freshers till 2-5 year of experience
