Design Engineer

Job Overview:

The Design Engineer is responsible for creating, developing, and testing designs for new products or systems. This role requires technical expertise in design principles, strong problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of engineering software and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and test mechanical, electrical, or software systems and components.
• Create detailed design plans, blueprints, and schematics for new products or modifications. Use engineering software (e.g., CAD, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create 2D and 3D models and simulations.
• Perform feasibility studies and testing to ensure that designs meet safety, functionality, and performance requirements.
• Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure that designs align with customer needs and project goals. Conduct design reviews and provide feedback for design improvements.
• Analyze and solve design-related problems through prototypes and testing. Prepare and update technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and user manuals. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and quality control processes. Monitor product performance post-launch and make necessary adjustments or improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (or related field). Proven experience as a Design Engineer (minimum 2 years preferred).
• Proficiency in CAD software and engineering design tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate technical concepts effectively.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Designer with 2-5 years experience in MEP packages operating on REVIT Software, should be conversant with BIM modelling
