Vocera now a part of Stryker is in search of an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test to become a part of the team, contributing significantly to the effort of modernizing legacy applications through their migration to a containerized architecture that is compatible with both on-premises and cloud settings. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality, a strong technical background in the automation of test scripts, and a proven track record of success in delivering high-quality software products.

What you will do:
Technical Responsibilities:

• Automate test cases in alignment with the requirements.

• Integrate automated test cases in the CI/CD pipeline

• Led the test design and test execution to verify software components in alignment with the requirements and architecture defined.

• Develop a test strategy to verify complex systems independently.

• Document and report bugs found during testing, collaborate with the development team for resolutions and perform regression testing to ensure fixes are effective.

• Ability to mentor and influence the team to achieve project quality objectives.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and ensure test coverage aligns with business needs.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):
Bachelors degree in Software Engineering/ Computer Science or related discipline & 4+ years of work experience

Preferred Qualifications (Strongly desired):
Technical Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Java/Python scripting languages

• Proficient in writing automation scripts.

• Understands the theory and methods of testing on-prem/cloud applications and can apply them under minimal supervision while demonstrating:

• Ability to create and implement testing methods, record the test results, and prepare test metrics.

• Capability to test all aspects of the product/system including function/component, system, performance, regression, n, and service.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to formulate test documentation (e. g. testing protocols, test reports) skills.

• Understanding of Telephony/SIP protocols.

• Experience with Java Networking TCP/UDP, Netty, SSL, and Wireshark.

• Good communication skills and ability to work in Agile development environments

• JIRA experience is a must.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and their associated services.

• Understanding of database technologies, including both SQL (e. g. , MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e. g. , MongoDB, Cassandra).
