Diamond Grader Faculty/Trainer

Role & responsibilities

Should have experience in teaching the intricacies of diamond grading, utilizing specialized tools and techniques to evaluate diamonds based on their color, clarity, cut, and carat weight, while also ensuring that proficient in documenting and certifying diamond quality according to industry standards, often within a gemological institute or training program

• Instructional Delivery: Teach comprehensive diamond grading courses covering theoretical concepts and hands-on practical training using microscopes, loupes, and other gemological equipment.

• Curriculum Development: Contribute to designing and updating the diamond grading curriculum to align with industry standards and emerging trends.

• Evaluation: Assess in practical skills and theoretical knowledge through examinations and performance evaluations

• Industry Engagement: Participate in industry events, workshops, and guest lectures to stay connected with current practices and share expertise.

Preferred candidate profile

• Certified Gemologist (GIA, IGI, etc.) with in-depth knowledge of diamond grading principles, including the 4Cs (color, clarity, cut, carat).
• Proven ability to effectively deliver technical information to students, both in classroom settings and through practical demonstrations.
• Familiarity with gemological tools like microscopes, refractometers, and electronic grading systems.
