Process Engineer

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of [2-3] years of experience in electronic manufacturing, assembly processes, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience with SMT (Surface Mount Technology), THT (Through Hole Technology) assembly.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Kaizen.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of electronic manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, ISO 9001, or similar.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

1. 1. Process Development and Optimization:
• Design, develop, and optimize electronic manufacturing processes for high-volume production.
• Analyse production data to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes to increase yield, reduce defects, and enhance product quality.
• Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for electronic assembly.
2. 2. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
• Investigate and resolve production-related issues, including troubleshooting assembly and process problems.
• Support the root cause analysis and corrective actions related to manufacturing failures, defects, and process inefficiencies.
3. 3. Equipment and Tooling:
• Work with engineering and operations teams to select, implement, and maintain automated and manual assembly equipment.
• Design and develop tooling, fixtures, and equipment necessary for assembly processes.
4. 4. Quality Assurance:
• Work closely with quality control teams to ensure products meet industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Support the development and execution of process validation and qualification activities.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for process quality, yield, and efficiency.
5. 5. Collaboration and Communication:
• Collaborate with NPI engineers and suppliers to ensure manufacturability of electronic products.
• Provide technical support to production teams and other departments.
• Communicate findings, process changes, and improvements to key stakeholders in the organization.
6. 6. Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of process changes, improvements, and issue resolutions.
• Prepare and present reports on process performance, product quality, and project status.
