Backlog Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and driven Backlog Manager to join our dynamic team. Working closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, content, marketing, and customer success you will contribute to delivering impactful solutions that transform learning experiences. Key Responsibilities:

1. Backlog Management & Prioritization:
   • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog to ensure alignment with business goals.
   • Collaborate with stakeholders to define clear and actionable priorities.
2. JIRA Tool Expertise:
   • Manage workflows, sprints, and tasks using JIRA.
   • Generate detailed reports and dashboards to track progress and performance.
3. Data Analysis & Understanding:
   • Analyze user data, market trends, and business metrics to inform product decisions.
   • Develop actionable insights to improve product functionality and user experience.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
   • Work closely with engineering, design, and other teams to deliver high-quality products.
   • Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure seamless communication.
5. Basic Technical Knowledge & Understanding
   • Demonstrate a foundational understanding of technical concepts to effectively communicate with engineering teams.
   • Participate in discussions about product architecture and feasibility.
6. Soft Skills
   • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across teams.
   • Communicate effectively, manage conflicts, and foster a collaborative environment.
7. Documentation Skills
   • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including product requirements, user stories, and workflows.
   • Ensure documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible for all stakeholders.
8. Scrum & Sprint Planning
   • Plan and execute sprints, ensuring timely delivery of product milestones.
   • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
9. Time Management
   • Effectively manage time to balance multiple projects and competing priorities.
   • Ensure deadlines are met without compromising quality.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor s degree in Engineering (Computer Science, IT, or related technical field) or MCA.
• 10+ years of experience in product management or a related role.
• Proven expertise in managing product life cycles in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Proficiency in tools like JIRA and data visualization platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams for complex projects.
