Technical Documentation Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Documentation Intern to join our team

As an intern, you will assist in developing and maintaining comprehensive user manuals and online resources for the Sense suite of products

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in technical writing and documentation processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and designers

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the creation and maintenance of customer-facing user manuals and online help resources to help them be successful with the Sense suite of products

Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to gather technical information about product features and translate it into clear, concise, and user-friendly content

Help ensure consistency in style, tone, and typography across all technical documentation by adhering to established style guides and documentation standards

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to help you effectively communicate technical concepts to a diverse audience

Participate in user testing and gather feedback to help refine documentation and improve user experience

Contribute to managing documentation projects by assisting with planning, scheduling, and meeting deadlines

Learn and utilize technical writing tools and methodologies to improve the documentation process

Qualifications

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) is preferred but not mandatory

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Technical Writing, Communication, Computer Science, or a related field

Strong interest in technical writing and the ability to simplify complex concepts into user-friendly content

Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

A proactive learner with a passion for documentation and technology
