Senior Software Developer - Ruby on Rails (4-6 yrs)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Developer with expertise in Ruby on Rails to join our dynamic development team.

As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust web applications that serve millions of users.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables, while optimizing applications for performance, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails.

- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.

- Build and maintain APIs, integrate third-party services, and handle backend tasks.

- Collaborate with the front-end team to create seamless, user-friendly interfaces.

- Work with databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL, writing optimized queries and ensuring data integrity.

- Utilize AWS services such as EC2, S3, and CloudWatch to deploy and monitor applications.

- Implement version control with Git and use Ruby gems for enhanced functionality.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications.

- Contribute to all stages of the development lifecycle, from planning to deployment.

- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve processes.

- Mentor junior developers and provide guidance in coding best practices.

Required Skills :

Backend :

- Strong proficiency in Ruby and Ruby on Rails framework.

- Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL.

- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and CloudWatch.

- Proficient in using Git for version control.

- Experience in integrating third-party APIs.

- Strong understanding of RESTful API development and microservices architecture.

- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.

- Experience with Angular or similar front-end frameworks.

Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Experience with Docker for containerization.

- Familiarity with React or other modern JavaScript frameworks.

Qualifications :

- 4-6 years of hands-on experience in software development, primarily working with Ruby on Rails.

- Proven ability to deliver high-quality web applications and software products.
