Senior Software Engineer - Java Spring Boot

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable microservices using the Spring Boot framework, focusing on backend systems.
• Lead project development and handle client interactions, ensuring clear communication and alignment with client expectations.
• Deliver complex, large-scale projects in a timely manner while adhering to best practices.
• Work in a collaborative environment, mentoring junior developers and guiding teams on technical decisions.
• Ensure compliance with fintech industry standards, particularly regarding security and data integrity.
• Perform unit and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, PowerMock, or other testing tools to ensure software reliability.
• Create detailed documentation for microservices, ensuring transparency and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve bugs quickly.
• Ensure all necessary test cases are written and executed to meet design specifications.
• Lead Agile processes, including sprint planning and daily standups, while promoting collaboration across teams.
• Ensure code quality and security through tools like Sonar, Fortify, and WebInspect.
• Work with SQL databases, ensuring proper database design, queries, and optimization for performance and security.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 5+ years of professional experience developing and deploying Java applications using Spring Boot.
• Demonstrated expertise in leading complex projects from conception to delivery.
• Proven ability to handle client relationships and manage expectations in fast-paced environments.
• Fintech industry experience is preferred, with knowledge of relevant security and compliance standards.
• Strong understanding of API technologies, including RESTful services.
• Experience with GIT, Swagger, and Cloud platforms (AWS or similar).
• Solid knowledge of unit testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, and PowerMock.
• Familiarity with markup languages such as JSON and YML.
• Hands-on experience with SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) for schema design, writing queries, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of quality and security scanning technologies like Sonar, Fortify, and WebInspect.
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies.

Skills:

• Expertise in Java and Spring Boot with extensive experience in building and deploying microservices.
