Sr Software Engineer

Responsible to provide technical and procedural direction on the design, implementation and maintenance of the organization s software development. Requires both technical level experience and ability to interface with all levels of users. Contributes to the development of functional strategy; leads project teams to achieve milestones and objectives. Operates with no supervision in a complex environment. Often coaches and advises other engineers and is responsible for external contractors and consultants. Responsible for defining the process by which software is designed and developed.

Education/Work Experience: Typically requires a degree and significant experience; or no degree and significant combined education and equivalent work experience (typically 1 year experience = 1 year education). Technology or business related function experience.

Independence Level/Reports to: Recognized both within and outside the organization as thought leader in area of expertise. Responsibilities typically include: Recommending operational strategies and plans with direct impact on results. Influencing business decisions made by leadership. Problems are complex and multi-dimensional. Requires communication with executive leadership on matters of strategic importance.
